The lawmaker representing Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo federal constituency, Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed,has explained how fraudsters hacked his phone (+2348085991145) to deceive his friends to transfer millions of naira to them . Muhammed ,in a statement made available to newsmen by his Special Assistant on Media , Ahmed Eniola Mustapha, said the scammers temporarily seized control of his WhatsApp, a message Application.  The lawmaker, however, urged the public to be at alert while responding to messages or phone calls from friends.  While disassociating himself from the fraudulent messages, advised his associates and friends not heed the call for help by transferring various amounts of money to the account numbers provided by the criminal elements.  He assured that, the necessary steps have been taken to address the issue and prevent further misuse. Oba Olabisi charges nursing students as BMC builds hostel for accommodation

 The problem of hostel accommodation faced by students of the Nursing students at the Baptist Medical Centre in Saki may soon become history following the construction of a multi-million naira students’ hostel. The 200 capacity hostel constructed by the management was commissioned on Thursday ,23rd May, 2024 ITV Online gathered that, the institution embarked on the landmark project aimed at complementing the school management’s effort of providing standard accommodation for the students.   Kaseem Jenrade Farmers in Okeoyan Adoka Komu land in Itesiwaju Local Government under Baale Adoka Jimoh Musa known as Agarawu have appealed to the State Governor His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde to  come to their aid and rescue them from incessant attack by kidnappers who are terrorizing their community. The farmers who made the appeal through their spokesperson Mr Adelodun Adepoju Oyin called for the intervention of the state government through local government and other stakeholders as well as security agencies in order to  protect the lives and properties of people of the area. The farmers lamented that  three of their colleagues were recently kidnapped in which ransom was paid before they were released . They stressed that farmers in oke oyan Adoka, Komu land could no longer have access to their farms for the fear of being kidnapped, adding that the issue has crippled economic activities in the area. Troops of 22 Armoured Brigade rescue kidnap victims

Troops of 22 Armoured Brigade in Forward Operating Base (FOB) Patigi, conducted search and rescue operations at Olapade/Olayinka village in Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State. The operation followed an intelligent report from local residents and vigilantee which spored the troops to immediately swing into action, leading to the rescue on some kidnap victims on Monday 20 May, 2024. Upon arrival at the enclave suspected to be one of hideouts for the criminals, own  troops on sighting the kidnappers, promptly engaged them as they fled into the dense forest. The soldiers quickly secured the kidnapped victims, who were immediately taken to Share General Hospital for medical treatment.  Thereafter, they were moved to the Brigade Headquarters (HQ). The rescued victims all females, comprised of 4 women and a child. Cashew truck crushes motorcycle in Saki, two women narrowly escape death

  Two-women narrowly escaped death on Tuesday evening, 21st May,2024 when a six tire truck lost control and fell on a motorcycle along Sango-Okeogun Polytechnic expressway,Saki. According to an eyewitness, the tragedy which occurred at about 6.40p.m.,caused panic and traffic jam as road users and passers-by scampered for safety. The accident happened within close range of the Saki West LG secretariat . The truck which was loaded with bags cashew nuts was said to have lost control and fallen on the motorcycle which was badly damaged. ITV Online   learnt that the truck driver escaped from the scene of the accident for fear of being lynched by the irate mob, leaving his truck and the goods behind. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was caused due to high speed by the driver of the truck which resulted in him losing control of the wheels. The COAS, who was represented by the Commander, 22 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General OD Williams, stated this while declaring open the orientation of student pilots' course 19, 2024 at the International Aviation College Ilorin, kwara state on 20 May 2024. The orientation programme was made up of 11 students out of which 10 were drawn from the NA Aviation.   A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourabe Shina Peller, has debunked reports of him snubbing Bayo Adelabu, Minister for Power, at a recent event that they both attended in Lagos.   Honourabe Peller clarified the alleged snubbing in a statement he shared on his social media platforms and with the press on Tuesday. The statement was in reaction to a recent video circulating on social media purportedly showing a perceived snub of the minister by Honourable Peller.  Describing the allegation of snubbing as unfounded, Honourable Peller, who is the Ayedero of Yorubaland, shared a video evidence of himself and the minister embracing and greeting each other warmly at the event in question. N615,000 minimum wage: NLC issues treat ,gives fresh deadline

  Organized labour has given the Federal Government until May to finalize the process of implementing the new national minimum wage for workers. During this year’s International Workers Day event in Abuja, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, put forth this demand on Wednesday. This year’s celebration focused on “Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate.” Ajaero stated that the process of establishing a new national minimum wage was still ongoing and had witnessed vigorous discussions.
