National Security Adviser,Ribadu pays condolence visit to family of Tinubu’s ADC

The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu accompanied by Commander 22 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General OD Williams, paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the late Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the Elemona of Ilemona, in Oyun LGA of Kwara State, who passed away in the early hours of today 19 May 2024. The late Monarch, is the father of Lieutenant Colonel Nurudeen Yusuf, the Aid De Camp to the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, 22 Armoured Brigade,Lieutenant Stephen Nwankwo made this available to newsmen.
In his remarks, the National Security Adviser expressed his deep sympathies and conveyed the condolences of the President to the grieving family. "I am here today to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences on behalf of the President to the family of Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi. His passing will remain a significant loss, not just to his immediate family, but to all of us," he said.
He continued, "The late Oba of Ilemona was more than a leader; he was a father to all of us. His wisdom, guidance, and unwavering commitment to his community have left an indelible mark. It was, therefore, imperative for me to come immediately and offer our support and solidarity to Lieutenant Colonel Yusuf and other members of his family during this difficult time.
The late Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi was a respected and beloved traditional ruler who dedicated his life to the service of his people and the betterment of Ilemona. His contributions to peace, development, and the cultural heritage of Oyun LGA, will be remembered and cherished for generations to come.
The family expressed their gratitude for the visit and the comforting words, highlighting the deep bond and respect that existed between the late Oba and the national leadership.
The National Security Adviser who was accompanied by the Commander 22 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General OD Williams was received by the Aide De Camp to the President, other family members and the community.
