Oba Olabisi charges nursing students as BMC builds hostel for accommodation


 The problem of hostel accommodation faced by students of the Nursing students at the Baptist Medical Centre in Saki may soon become history following the construction of a multi-million naira students’ hostel.

The 200 capacity hostel constructed by the management was commissioned on Thursday ,23rd May, 2024

ITV Online gathered that, the institution embarked on the landmark project aimed at complementing the school management’s effort of providing standard accommodation for the students.

At the commissioning ceremony, Okere of Saki lauded the management of the Baptist Medical Centre for putting in place this aesthetic edifice,charged them not to relent in embarking on similar projects that will add value and make meaningful impact on the living condition of the students. 

The monarch who led other traditional chiefs to the citadel of learning, appealed to eminent personalities to further help the management in the course of upgrading the school.

Speaking further, Okere advised the nursing students to face their studies squarely and that they should remember to give back to the institution that made them, when eventually they pass out.

Those who graced the 200 capacity hostel commissioning built for use of nursing students of the institution include the Bakoja of Saki, High Chief, Amos Olaoye; Baale Oke-Oro; Apeeki of Saki; Apefin of Saki; National President, Saki Parapo, Dr Festus Adedayo Adjustable; Chairman, Saki Parapo Home branch, Alhaji Jubril Makanjuola; National Secretary, Saki Parapo, Alhaji T. O. Busari; Vice Chairman, Home branch, Saki Parapo, Deacon Samson Adeniji and other executive members.

Others are the chief host, who is the Chief Medical Director of the institution, Dr S. O. Adekanye; chief administrative officer, Mr I. K. Olomitutu; Provost of the College of Nursing, Dns E.T. Olaogun; President, Oke-Ogun Baptist Conference, Rev. G.O. Olanrewaju and other management members.
