Let's unite to foster development,Oke-Amu indigenes charged as Monarch celebrates 33 years coronation

People of Oke Amu in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State have been charged to foster unity, love and togetherness in order to bring about the desired development in the ancient town.

The admonition was part of the submissions made by dignitaries who graced the 33rd coronation anniversary of the Olugunwa of oke amu,Oba Kasali Oyeniyi Omotosho Fadeyi 1.

The epoch event which was attended by several  prominent traditional rulers across oke ogun land and beyond,led by the Okere of Saki Oba Khalid Olabisi Ayinla, also had in attendance arrays of political bigwigs, captain of industries and large gathering of oke amu indigenes who came from far and near.

The 33rd coronation anniversary of the Olugunwa of oke amu also featured the conferment of  chieftaincy titles on worthy eminent sons and daughters of the town who have excelled in their various fields,  in recognition of their tremendous contributions to the growth and development of their ancient town.

While congratulating the people of oke amu on the historic occasion, a former chairman of the NCC, Chief Adeolu Akande who was the chief launcher at the occasion, saluted the leadership acumen of the oke ogun traditional institution under the leadership of the Okere of Saki and commended the prevailing unity and affectionate love among the people of oke ogun area.

The NCC boss commended the organizers of the  event for organizing a distinguished programme of such magnitude which is a replica of Ojude oba in Ogun State.

Chief Akande used  the occasion to call for the collaborative efforts of the well to do individuals in oke ogun to contribute their quota to the development of their father land.

In her remark,Engr Mrs Oluniyi Esther, the mother of the day whose joy knew no bound, congratulated the monarch, Oba Omotosho and the entire people of oke amu on the auspicious occasion.

She promised  to establish a foundation to be named after Olugunwa and her late mother, in recognition of their good parenting.

According to her, the foundation will establish a human development and capacity center to identify and nurture the best students in the community.

In their goodwill messages,Mr Femi Awakan, Former Chairman Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Ojo Bolaji Akintola who represented Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola Halleluyah and the Executive Chairman Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon Ojo Mosur Olayemi  charged  indigenes of oke amu to work together in unity for the overall development of the town.

They emphasized that, it is imperative for them to imbibe  unity of purpose to attract desired development.

They were also admonished to use their goodwill and personal influences for the development of the land.

Among the awardees are; chief Mukaila Adewale Oseni who was honoured with the chieftaincy title of the Asiwaju of oke amu, Iya mokun of oke amu Mrs Ajekemi Sheri Balogun and Captain Nurudeen Adebowale Adebayo the jagunmolu of oke amu 

While  appreciating the honour bestowed on them ,the awardees promised to justify the confidence repose on them.

Wives of the celebrant, the duo of Olori Mrs Iyadunni Anuoluwapo Adegbola Oseni and Mrs Iyabode Eniitan Adegbola Oseni in their separate views appreciated the honour bestowed on their husband Chief Mukaila Adewale Oseni and called for the collaborative efforts of all and sundry towards rebranding the ancient town

The chairman planning committee Alhaji Adegbola Bashiru Adeyemi urged the government at all levels to tap both human and natural resources in oke amu for the overall development of the state.

He also admonished oke amu indigenes home and abroad to take part in the development of oke amu for posterity.
