Federal and state governments have been called upon to come up with educational policies that will enhance academic pursuits at various levels of education in the country.

According to Owoseeni, governments can do this through, among others, provision of grants, scholarships, student loans etc to students of private institutions as well as that of public institutions.
“Those of us running private educational institutions should be seen as partners in progress by the government. This is because we are the ones filling the gaps that public educational institutions could not provide. Meaning that private educational providers are rendering invaluable services to the society. As such, they deserve robust supports from governments not just in terms of good policies but also in terms of helpful resources”.
Among such material supports mentioned by the educationist were financial supports for students in those institutions, special grants to these institutions and possible reduction in the taxes that private school proprietors were being asked to pay from time to time.
He assured the matriculating students and their parents that the ultimate aim of Iseyin College of Science and Health Technology “is to be one of the best of such institutions in Nigeria in a very short time by the grace of God”.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Acting Provost of the College, Mr. Ibioye Peter disclosed that the college was accredited by the National Board for Technological Education (NBTE) to award National and Higher National Diploma (ND and HND) to students who have been trained and qualified.
Registrar of the institution, Mr. Azeez Olawale, after congratulating the founder of the college, Mr. Owoseeni Adewale, announced that all that is necessary to make learning smooth and successful are available at the college.
He also added that security was assured. “Apart from security being provided by the institution, the college management is also working with government and nor-governmental security agencies to ensure safety of lives and properties”.
The executive chairman of Iseyin local government council, Honourable Rasaq Bisi Fadiran who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Adeoti Ridwan congratulated parents, guardians and the students for making it to the college. He then tasked the students to face their studies squarely in order to attain excellence in their academic pursuits. He added that they should comport themselves well and refrain from joining bad groups including cultists.
Heads of the host communities, Chief Lukman Aderoju Adekunle (Baale Idi Ori, Iseyin) and Chief Lukmon Motunrayo Ojeniyi (Baale Idi Iya, Iseyin) also congratulated the matriculating students and urged them to be of good behaviour.
They assured the students, their parents and staff of the college that the people of the area will make their stay very conducive.
The proprietor, Mr. Owoseeni, lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for development efforts he is making to take Oke-ogun and Oyo State generally to the next level. He also thanked Aseyin of Iseyinland, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III for his support and prayed that Iseyin will continue to move forward.
