Eminent Club of Nigeria(Okeogun)mourns Jonah Otunla
The Eminent Club of Nigeria(Okeogun),has commiserated with the people of Okeogun and Nigeria in general over the death of a former Accountant-General of the federation, Jonah Otunla.
Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla, the former Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) in Nigeria died at the age of 69. He was born on June 12, 1955, and passed away on June 17, 2024, at a hospital in the United Kingdom after a short illness .
During his career, he also served as a board member of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and was a chartered accountant .
The Club, in a statement made available by her President, Dr. Femi Oyedemi , described the deceased as an astute leader who served the country and Okeogun region meritoriously.
While praying to God to forgive his shortcomings, Oyedemi urged his family and all those he left behind to take solace in the fact that he lived a righteous life dedicated to the service of humanity.
"Otunba Jonah Otunla was such a great patriot of Okeogun, who had contributed his own quota to overall development of the area and Nigeria as a whole . May God forgive his shortcomings "
