Eid-el-kabir : Let's use the celebration to offer prayers for Nigeria,Tosin Awodi-Oke rejoices with Muslims Umah



The Founder of Awodi-Oke foundation and member of the All Progressives has, APC, Engr. Tosin Kolade,has expressed warm felicitation to Nigerian Muslim community and all Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

Awodi-Oke in a Sallah message Sunday, noted that as Muslims all over the world celebrate the festival, it is time to merry and share with the loved ones, urging Muslims in the country to ensure they also share goodies with the less privileged.

“On behalf of Awodi-Oke foundation,APC and on my behalf, I would like to rejoice with Muslims globally and particularly in Ago-Are Community for joining Muslim Umah all over the world to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir. As we are aware, this is one festival that symbolizes Allah’s blessings and love for mankind, I urge our Muslims brothers in observing this important act of worship"

He noted that, the sanctity and tradition of gathering together in prayers and celebrations, is one of the cardinal templates of love and commitment to the principles of Islam.

He further urged them to be guided by the faith, perseverance and obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim when he was reminded by God to fulfill his promise of sacrificing his son, if he was blessed with a child.

Engr. Tosin, who said the country is presently going through challenges, called on the adherents of Islamic religion, to use the festival and offer prayer for Nigeria, particularly on security and economy.

“As we aware that ,the nation is being confronted with challenges, particularly, security and economic downturns,I enjoin our Muslim brothers to celebrate with moderation. And as Islam preaches, they should also remember the poor and share the merry with them"

He equally used this opportunity to call on all Nigerians to continue to embrace fundamental principles of humanitarianism; care for the needy as the celebration symbolizes, and prayed for a great future for our nation.
