Welfarism shouldn't be limited to those in power- Mary Joe Foundation


As part of its charitable efforts and activities towards relieving people of untold hardship during the Ramadan season, Mary Joe Foundation, has disbursed food items to hundreds of needy Muslims in Saki .

Speaking on behalf of the founder, Mr. Olamide Sulaiman,said the gesture was borne out of her desired commitment and passion to share love among the people and to put smiles on the faces of some families especially in the Holy month. 

Recall that the foundation had within the week started the disbursement of bags of rice, semovita and other consumables as well as cash support and by extension, had few weeks empowered some individuals with tools worth multimillion naira .

While encouraging the beneficiaries to remain optimistic in the face of the economic realities,the foundation promised to stretch the generosity when and where necessary. 

Speaking at Aare of Ofiki's Palace, Mr. Sulaiman maintained that,taking care of the needy in the society should not limited to those in the corridors of authorities. 

"Our foundation is purely a charity-based organisation, it is neither a profit-oriented nor political driven ",says Sulaiman. 

Mary Joe ,through the foundation, has helped lots of people, small and large groups .

In a related development, a foundation under the aegis of "Women Empowering Women ",extended alms to Ofiki Community in support of Oba Gbenga Adeoye in commemoration of his forthcoming Ramadan lecture for the Muslim brethren. 

In his remarks, the Aare of Ofiki, Oba Gbenga Adeoye expressed satisfaction over the charitable services of the foundations ,fervently prayed to God to reward the founders and their co-travellers in multitudes.

The monarch said ,he is committed to building a synergy with the foundations for further developmental projects
