Oyo 2024: Others Lack Ideas,YPP Candidate Calls For Issues-Based Debate

Ahead of the LG elections, the Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP),has challenged the opposition parties including the chairmanship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP into a public debate where competence, performance would form the issues of discourse.

Disclosing this at a flag-off event,held in Tede on Saturday, which was well-attended by state gladiators and members from across the local government area.

While speaking at the event, the State chairman of the YPP .Adedeji Adeyemi, appealed to members of the party to judiciously utilise the opportunity given to the party to wrestle power from the ruling PDP.

Speaking shortly after the presentation of flag, the candidate of the party, Hon. Ogunniyi Tunde, expressed his appreciation to every member of the party for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them.

Ogunniyi ,who won the ticket to represent the people of Atisbo LG, boasted that he would defeat other candidates put together on issue- based campaign, of ideology, devoid of lies, propaganda and insults

He said that Atisbo LG area has no business being poor as the council which is sitting on natural resources enough to make the citizens of the locality immensely rich through value chain.

Others unveiled as councillorship candidates include Hon.Raheem Babatunde, Hon. Muyiwa Abodunrin,Hon. Babalola Omotayo, Abdfatai Basit ,Hon. Akeem Lateef ,Hon. Abdrasheed Adeola , Hon. Olaomo Julius and Hon. Babatunde Ibrahim.
