Oyo Traders Charge Makinde To Create Windows Of Loan Opportunities

Oyo State government has been charged to intensify effort at creating windows of opportunities for traders in the state to flourish and make the process for acquiring loans seamless for the benefit of the people at the grassroot.
This was part of submissions made by members of the All Traders Association, ATISBO Local Government chapter at the Annual Get - together of the association, held at Baasi town under the auspices of the Onibaasi of Baasi ,Oba Azeez Sunday Asunmo Modele Babatunde.
Members, in their separate remarks stressed the pivotal roles being played by the association in socio- economic development of the state.
The chairman,All Traders Association Atisbo branch, Chief Adedigba Adeyinka ,Baale Egbe Olowo Alhaji Saka Tijani Okanlawon , President All Traders Association oke ogun; Chief Tijani Mayashau ,Mr Tijani Jubril from Owotoro and Otun Baale Olowo Hon.Adekunle and other prominent members of the traders association, reiterated that the association serves as middle men between the farmers and consumers and they have been playing active roles in the economic sector of the state.
While commending the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on his lofty programmes and policies geared towards making Oyo State economy viable, the association urged the state governor to remove all bottlenecks that have made it difficult for its members to access government loans.
The association also expressed its displeasure on how some unknown people have been parading as genuine traders in order to access the loan from government.
They also admonished the state government to provide enabling environment for farmers and traders across the state to thrive.
The epoch event, which also featured the inauguration of a new market known as Obada market in Baasi, had in attendance the Vice Chairman, ATISBO Local Government, who doubles as political head /administrator, ATISBO South LCDA, Hon.Joe Makanjuola Ayoola a.k.a Makenson.
While speaking ,Hon. Makanjuola rejoiced with members of the association on the auspicious occasion and described the celebration as a milestone achievement in the history of Baasi town .
He urged members to be steadfast and show commitment to the programmes and activities of the state government .
The political head ATISBO South, also urged members of the association to prioritize the security of their respective markets.
The newly inaugurated Obada market in Baasi will be opened for business activities at every 5 day interval.
The event had in attendance the Olokaka of Okaka land His Majesty Oba Abdul Azeez Olatunji Ayoola Ogelende IV , Alageere of Ofiki Oba Bashiru Oyesiji Ayoninu Iyan 1, Oloto of Ago Are Oba Azeez Oyedele Omofoyewa among others
