2024 LG Poll: Jubilation Galore As Obe,Olaleru, Others Make Kajola APC Campaign List

 


It was jubilation galore on Saturday; 3rd February, 2024 at APC general meeting in Kajola Local Government, Okeho, Oyo State held at 2nd Baptist Primary School, Ogan, Okeho as the Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kajola Local Government Area, Hon. Waliu Kolade Sunmonu inaugurated seasoned politicians and eminent personalities in the society as members of his campaign council ahead of the council poll slated for Saturday; 27th of April, 2024 in the state.

The ceremony which took at Ward 04, 2nd Baptist Primary School, Ogan, Okeho and was graced by the some members of the Oyo APC’s State Working Committee as well as party stalwarts in Kajola Local Government Area and beyond.

Others who made the list include former Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Hon. (Alh). Isiaka Lekan Salami (Obe) and Frm. OYSHA Member; Hon. Thomas Abiodun Adegoke unveiled as Chief Campaigner and Deputy Chief Campaigner respectively. 

Also Frm. OYSHA, Deputy Chip Whip; Hon. John Adebayo Olaleru and Hon. Basiru Bolanle Oladepo are appointed as Director of General Campaign (DG) and Deputy Director of General Campaign (DG) while Hon. Ojesanmi Solomon Taiwo emerged as the Scribe of the Campaign Committee.

The Budget and Finance Committee will be headed to the present OYSHA member representing Kajola State Constituency; Hon. Abdul Azeez Musibau Akintola and assisted by Hon. Ganiyu Isiaka Adebare.

Among members of the Campaign Committees are; All Ward Chairmen, Ward Secretaries, Ward Youth leaders, Ward Women leaders and two nominated from each Wards.

In his remarks, the current Party’s Chairman in the council, Hon. Siyanbade Jacob Ademola charged residents and party faithful in Kajola Local Government Area to support Hon. Waliu Kola Sunmonu and his vice Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Samuel Daramola Ayorinde as well as all the 11 Councilorship Candidates who are eyeing electoral victory in the forthcoming April, 2024 poll “in order to ensure that the lost glory of Kajola Local Government Area is brought back.

The leader of the party in the council, Elder. G.M. Ariori, appealed to the electorate to key into what he called “Operation Save Kajola LGAs from Extinction” being embarked upon by the major opposition party in the state. 

Pa Ariori added that, PDP administration has demonstrated to destroy the third tier of government completely and the only antidote is for the good people of the state to vote all the candidates of the APC against those of the PDP on the day of the poll.

The Chairmanship Candidate who is also an Estate Consultant, Hon. Waliu Kolade Sunmonu assured that he would make the council a model among the 774 in the country if elected to serve. I have put in place a blueprint capable of turning things around for the Kajola Local Government and we will make it public very soon. 

He said; I feel the best way to impart meaningfully on the lives of the generality of the people is to participate in politics and I have offered myself to serve. We shall not disappoint and we urge the voters to cast their ballot for us to enable us to serve them diligently; Kolade Sunmonu said.

Kazeem Owonikoko, Pa Noah Olojede, Alh. Badmus Aderemi, Alh. Titilope Surakah, Hon. Ebun Popoola, Former Oyo State House of Member; Hon. Felix Ige Oyebisi, Former Local Government Chairmen; Hon. Yahyah Salaudeen, Hon. Hamzat Fatai, Hon. Hamzat Ogunsola, Hon. Chief Dr Sunday Ogungbenro, Alh. Tirimizu Adesola, Hon. Babs-Olawoyin Moses, Hon. Sulaimon Tajudeen, Frm. Local Government Councillors and Supervisory Members are also in attendance.
