Oyo to Host 2024 ARSPON National Surgical Outreach/AGM/Scientific Conference


As part of her continued efforts in improving, deeping,and popularising the arts and practice of Rural Surgery in Nigeria, the  Association of Rural Surgical Practitioners of Nigeria (ARSPON) ,is set to storm the city of Ibadan between Thursday, 15th of February, 2024 to Saturday, 17th of February,2024 for her annual surgical Workshop/ Scientific Conference.


In a 3-day free Surgical outreach for residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, members of the Association across the country will carried out free surgeries for the less privileged who lack access to medical care and create awareness about medical interventions .


This newspaper  authoritatively gathered that the theme of the Conference will be "Safety & Quality Assurance in Rural Surgical Practice. The event will also feature Free hernia, and Lump surgeries as well as scientific paper presentation.


The Annual event is scheduled for Srcolab Executive Hotel,12, Oluyole Street, beside First Bank, Oke-Ado, Ibadan while the free surgeries will take place at Lad Medical Centre,New Garage Road,Orita challenge, Ibadan

Also,a workshop will be organised to improve medical education of the medical experts. 

Well meaning people from both public and private sectors of Health care industry as well as distinguished personalities are expected to grace the opening and closing ceremony of the event.

Registration opens and continues till the 15th of February, 2024.
